Yes, we have a number of screening sites in your local area. (View alternative locations for your screening appointment). Please use the change appointment form.

If none of these sites are convenient for your place of work, please contact us by telephone on 020 3758 2024.
Yes, please complete the online change appointment form to alter the date, time or location of your screening appointment.
We respect your decision not to be screened, although we would encourage all women to attend for breast screening when invited. However if you choose not to take up your invitation please contact the screening office so your appointment is not wasted.
If you change your mind at any point in the future please contact us. We will be happy to make you another appointment.

If you have notified your practice of your new address you will be invited for screening at the normal time.

The client should contact the Hub on 020 3758 2024 to book an interpreter. The Hub will notify the West of London Breast Screening Service of the request.

Usually, the service can provide a telephone interpreter on the day of the appointment for the most common languages such as French, Arabic, Mandarin and Farsi, but it can take longer for other languages.

The service can also book face-to-face interpreters; this request would need at least 48 hours’ notice.

The service cannot always guarantee a female interpreter.

In these places then yes, a BSL interpreter is available.
The service would need a week’s notice for a BSL interpreter.
Please contact the Hub on 020 3758 2024 to request a BSL interpreter as soon as you can.

When the client arrives, the telephone interpreter will be contacted, if necessary. They will translate everything, from checking the details of the client to helping the client to answer any questions from the mammographer. The process of the appointment will be explained at the reception desk, before the actual screening.

When the client arrives, the face to face interpreter should already be there. They will explain the breast screening process to the client at the reception desk. The interpreter can come into the x-ray room and help explain the procedure to the client before the appointment, if the client wants this. They will leave the room before the actual mammogram.

Please contact the Hub on 020 3758 2024 to request an interpreter, a week before your appointment.
Applies to West of London Clients only, where the service is available:
The service covers all languages including British Sign Language (BSL).
There aren’t any languages that are not offered.
The interpreting service is available at all West of London Breast Screening sites.
These are:
- Charing Cross Hospital, Hammersmith.
- Hanwell Medical Centre, Hanwell, Ealing.
- Heart of Hounslow, Hounslow.
- St Marys Hospital, Paddington.
- Uxbridge Health Centre, Uxbridge, Hillingdon.
From time to time screening locations can change due to availability. If the site you have been called to is not convenient you can request a change your appointment form.
